Would you prefer to see longer stories or shorter ones? When I first started this Character Workshop there was quite a lot of feedback but the last few days there have been fewer comments. This is kind of strange because my visit statistics are going up like never before….
By posting a new story every Tuesday and Thursday, I may be giving you too much “food to digest too fast”. So, I’d like to get your feedback because that’s what this Character Workshop is about: experimenting and making things better for you. If anytime you feel overwhelmed with my posts, or you think you’re losing interest for any reason, I’d love to hear about it. I want to learn and I’m willing to hear what you have to say!
If you want to help giving me a few tips right away you can answer to any of these questions about my latest posts:
-Do you prefer short stories or long ones?
-How many times a week you’d like to read my new posts at the Character Workshop?
-Any other suggestions?
I also wanted to announce that next week is the last week of the month, which means that I will pick a winner illustration from your votes. AND… I will pick a winner from your comments on that illustration. The winner will receive a giveaway of a special signed -hand watercolor- print of that illustration. Don’t forget to vote for your fav illustration and comment because a special print of it may be yours!
Thank you all!

I haven’t been online since I last commented, it’s been a busy week at work. Also, I’m embarrassed to admit that I’m really here for the illustrations, I rarely read much text on the screen, so I’m probably not eligible to vote! I’d like to still comment on the illustrations though, when I’m online
Hi Jesse, this is all very helpful for me. Of course you’re eligible to vote just like everyone else! Plus you don’t vote for the stories but for characters because, after all, this is a Character Workshop, it’s all about personages, so your feedback is VERY welcomed.
I understand what you say. IE: I am a HUGE fan of Brian Froud but I don’t buy his books for the text, but for the illustrations. Of course, I love to read the text too, but only as a ‘side dish’. As an author, I’m aware that I’m first and foremost a visual artist. The story telling is a complement so people can know better and enjoy better the images.
I’m very glad that you pointed that because probably I should be focusing my posts more on the images, I should post not so much of the stories and leave it for the time they are published on a book, so people can read it comfortably sitting in the couch!
I’d like to hear the opinnion of other people though
Hey Koldo…I think now that summer has arrived more people are outside than inside reading. Both your characters and stories are great though.
I like the ones when you tell us just a little bit and then we are wanting more….perhaps you could introduce us and then later bring that character back to tell us more
Thanks for the feedback Sue!
Short stories work best for me due to time constraints – love to look at your illustrations.
i love long stories!!
i’m always looking for more…
i will read them as often as you can post them
thank you!
Thanks Zoe, it’s great to know that some people likes to read long stories too!
