The illustration of “The Song of the Sea Goat” that I produced in 1990, based on a poem/song by Peter Sinfield has been placed at Song Soup On Sea, the artist’s official web site, to illustrate his paradigmatic and mysterious poetry. This is such an enormous honor for me as you can imagine!
Peter and designer Joanne Roffey are currently doing a remake on the site and it’s looking just great! Some great features have been added, including RSS feeds so the fans can now be updated about Peter’s forthcoming works. By the way, next year we will see the release of Peter Sinfield’s masterpiece album from 1973, “Still”. It has been re-mastered and it sounds terrific!
You can now download for free for a limited period some full tracks from the album at Peter’s web site, including “The Song of the Sea Goat”, which I highly recommend you.
This is truly one of the most influential music albums in my work and my life. It has an intangible magic quality hard to describe but it certainly drives you to a very unique reality. I see it like the music that you could hear inside the mind of a poet who paints with words. Just check out some of the songs and tell me what you think…
