Born in Madrid, Spain, Koldo Barroso is a U.S. based artist and author dedicated to the creation of imaginative and fantastic worlds and storytelling.

Published in 2010, his book “Kooky Pets” is a pioneering fantasy illustration book in the field of Internet and social media: an interactive experience where the blog readers were the co-creators as well as protagonists.

As an illustrator, Koldo Barroso has created the imagery for words and music by renowned music artists such as the legendary prog rock poet Peter Sinfield -King Crimson, Emerson Lake and Palmer-, as well as musicians Kimara Sajn, and Judy Dyble of Fairport Convention’s fame.

Koldo and his wife Naomi Niles are partners at ShiftFWD, a creative and strategy house. ShiftFWD brings together different types of activities that include creativity, introspection, experimentation, and new technologies.
